Frequently Asked Questions

How many turnstiles are needed for a school with a certain number of students?

The generally accepted ratio is 1 turnstile for every 300 students. For example, at least 3 turnstiles are recommended for a school with 900 students. However, the number of entrance points, peak-hour traffic and emergency evacuation requirements must always be evaluated together.

Can public schools also benefit from this service?

Yes. Installations can also be carried out for public schools through parent-teacher associations, municipal support, private benefactor contributions or public tender processes. SisTekno also provides support during the preparation of technical specifications in these processes.

Will it be compatible with our existing camera infrastructure?

In most cases, yes. During the site survey, your existing cameras, cabling and recording device are evaluated; components that need to be replaced and those that can be integrated are identified separately. A more economical path than a full installation from scratch is planned.

How are student data protected in terms of KVKK?

Biometric data are stored in encrypted form, access permissions are layered and data are kept on servers located within Türkiye. Support is also provided to the institution's management for the KVKK clarification text and explicit consent process.

How long does installation take?

In a single-entrance school with 500 students, installation takes an average of 3-5 business days; in large campuses, this period may extend up to 2-3 weeks. Weekend and holiday work is preferred to avoid disrupting the education period.
